Ketamine works by affecting the brain's glutamate system, promoting new neural connections, and producing a calm mental spaciousness that allows patients to process underlying issues and improve overall mental health and mood.
You may have heard of ketamine in the context of psychedelics, and indeed, at higher doses, it can produce psychedelic effects. However, our treatment program utilizes very low-doses, producing a calm, relaxed state that allows patients to process underlying emotions and triggers without feeling overwhelmed.
Since launching Joyous, we have dedicated ourselves to making this life-changing medication and treatment as accessible as possible.
We built cutting-edge technology to monitor our patients progress, ensure safety, provide valuable treatment courses through our Be Joyous patient portal, and assist our providers and Care Team personalize treatment for all of our patients.
Joyous is the most affordable at-home ketamine treatment available, and our experience high-quality care, access to our Care and Medical teams, and a wealth of resources that help expand valuable therapeutic practices accessible through our portal.
Other ketamine treatments can range between $500-$3000/month for high doses of ketamine. Higher doses create more of a "psychedelic" experience which can be overwhelming for some patients and benefit from integration coaching after the experience. Joyous uses microdoses, small doses where our patients remain fully coherent and oriented, able to engage with therapy and therapeutic exercises from the comfort of their home. All for just $129/month, no monthly commitment, making us the most affordable at-home ketamine treatment option.
Our treatment is a monthly subscription with absolutely no commitment. You can cancel your subscription by reaching out to our Care Team via text (844-774-0909) or email (care@joyous.team) and requesting to cancel. They will send you a short survey to learn more and once submitted, the team will review and send you a confirmation of your cancelation. You will not be billed for the following month as long as your next refill hasn't been sent out.

Ketamine is widely viewed as safe, effective, and well-tolerated for most people (with the exception of individuals with uncontrolled high blood pressure, history of psychosis, or heart rhythm problems).
Its unique characteristic of not impairing the respiratory system contributes to its broad application and acceptability. Administered by our trained medical professionals in controlled doses, it's considered a safe anesthetic option for a wide range of patients. In fact, its safety is such that it's even used in surgeries with children. By adhering to stringent guidelines and protocols, we ensure that potential risks are minimized, reinforcing ketamine's position as a dependable choice within our healthcare environment.
Many medications are compatible with low-dose ketamine medication, including traditional antidepressants and anxiety medications.
